Write for Us

Fresh Sports Compass welcomes thoughtful proposals that help readers understand a sport, take a considered first step, or notice a useful detail in the way a game works.

What to pitch

We are interested in clear, original work about game sense, first steps, practice, equipment, and sport formats. A strong proposal identifies its reader, names a specific question, and explains what the reader will understand by the end. Practical evergreen ideas are welcome when they do not rely on unsupported claims, specialist testing, or advice that requires a professional.

A useful proposal

Send a short outline with a working title, the central point, the intended reader, and a few notes on how you would develop the piece. Mention relevant experience only if it directly helps explain your approach; we do not require formal credentials. Do not send confidential material or claim access to sources you cannot substantiate.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Please send a proposal rather than a complete article unless we have requested a draft. A submission is not a promise of publication, and any accepted work will be discussed before editing or publication.

Our point of view

Sport makes more sense when you notice the details

A rule, a role, or a first visit can change how a game feels. We make space for those useful details, without assuming you already know the playbook.
